Job description:

The Lab Technician works in the cement laboratory to support Oklahoma Operations by performing lab tests as required. Laboratory technician operates wide range of high-pressure high temperature equipment, within the climate-controlled lab. Lab Technician works under the engineers and Operations team members from diverse backgrounds to understand project goals and design requirements.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain good inventory of consumables and equipment in the labs. Keep a good record of calibration, inspection and maintenance of equipment and parts to ensure minimal down-time including high standards of housekeeping.

· Utilize all lab instruments to run various cement tests as outlined by Engineering Team in accordance with the API requirements.

· Analyze test results and derive conclusions as needed

· Share results in appropriate format with the Technical Team

· Work closely with other Operations Team in terms of providing laboratory and technical support.

· Maintain Good database of all testing performed in the laboratory.

· Maintain Good lab samples with logs, dates, and lot numbers.

Educational Requirements:

· High school Graduate plus Minimum. Associates/Bachelor’s degree – Preferred

· Prior industry-specific knowledge – Preferred but not required.

Required Skills:

· Strong oral & written communication skills with the ability to communicate with people in all levels of the organization.

· Must be able to build strong relationships with peers, co-workers, management, and customers through effective communication, integrity, trust and respect.

Pay:

$19-$21 per hour. Approx – 40-60 hrs per week. On Call every other weekend.

Basic mathematical abilities
Must pass a D&A test, at a facility I’ve contracted.
No recent criminal history. We do extensive background checks.
Must have a solid work history, if you have history of jumping from job to job, don’t bother applying.
Ability to read and write in English without assistance.
Must have reliable transportation.
